I struggled reading this article back in February when it was introduced to me. Now after learning about unconscious bias and how we are all guilty of it, it makes more sense to me. I will be honest and say that there has been times that I have voted for an individual simply because he or she was Latino. I told myself fit was okay to do this because I was helping someone like me get ahead. I felt as if I was doing my part in my own “good old boy network.”
